Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is reportedly optimistic about working with a second Trump administration, according to a source familiar with his thinking speaking to Jewish Insider.
According to the source, Netanyahu believes Trump's desire for Israel to end the war quickly means winning it decisively rather than agreeing quickly to a negotiated ceasefire short of victory.
The Prime Minister reportedly also hopes that Trump will help strengthen Israel's relationships with Arab states, especially the Gulf States, a process begun by the Abraham Accords signed during the first Trump administration.
According to the Financial Times, Netanyahu will not make any major moves in Gaza or Lebanon before Donald Trump is sworn in as President.
Netanyahu has already published a written congratulations to Trump and spoke with him on the phone for twenty minutes, congratulating him on his victory and discussing various security issues.
