Border Police neutralized a terrorist who attempted to carry out a ramming attack Thursday morning in Anata, East Jerusalem.
During a search by police and Border Police soldiers near Jerusalem in the 'Anata area, a vehicle accelerated toward the fighters in a wild drive and did not heed the calls of the soldiers operating there to stop.
Border Police soldiers, sensing that their lives were in danger, fired at the driver of the vehicle that endangered them, neutralizing him.
Additional police and Border Police forces were called to the scene.
Yesterday afternoon another terror attack took place. A terrorist driving a car crashed into a bus stop at the Shilo junction in Binyamin in an attempt to run over civilians standing there.
After the collision, the terrorist got out of the car and chased two civilians in order to stab them. Both fled on foot. A resident armed with a personal weapon fired at the terrorist, killing him. One resident sustained minor injuries and the other suffered shock injuries.
