On Thursday morning, the IDF allowed the publication that Sergeant Ariel Sosanov (Shonov), 20, from Jerusalem, a soldier in the 605th Engineer Battalion of the Barak Brigade, 188th Brigade, fell yesterday in the fighting in the north.

Ariel was killed yesterday by a rocket in the Upper Galilee near the Lebanese border, during the heavy barrage of about 50 rockets that Hezbollah launched yesterday afternoon into the Avivim area.

In addition, the IDF allowed publication that a soldier in the Nachshon Battalion (90th Battalion) of the Kfir Brigade was seriously wounded yesterday in fighting in the northern Gaza Strip. The fighter was evacuated to the hospital for medical treatment and his family was informed.

Air Force fighter jets, under the direction of the Northern Command, attacked Hezbollah command and control compounds and weapons depots throughout Nabatiyah in southern Lebanon on Wednesday.
