Bar Refaeli on Gallant's dismissal: 'A commission of inquiry can be established'

The network is abuzz following the abrupt dismissal of Defense Minister Yoav Galant. Senior figures in the Israeli entertainment industry condemn Prime Minister Netanyahu for his decision and call on their millions of followers to go out and protest.

This morning, Israeli model and businesswoman Bar Refaeli published a post by Haaretz journalist Josh Breiner, criticizing Netanyahu's political move in the midst of war and calling for the establishment of an investigative committee. "If it's possible to fire the Minister of Defense in the middle of a war, it's also possible to establish a state inquiry committee. And elections are also possible," it was written in the post that garnered thousands of likes.

Refaeli's unusual post joins the calls from last night by senior figures in the Israeli entertainment industry, including Ran Danker, Rita, Rotem Sela, and Lior Raz, who urged their thousands of followers to take to the streets in protest of the Defense Minister's dismissal.

Even Gideon Sa'ar's daughter – the actress Alona, joined these calls and called for replacing the government. "If it's possible to replace the Minister of Defense during a war, then it's possible (and advisable) to replace the entire government," she wrote on her Instagram account.
