Tank overturns in southern Lebanon while returning to Israel
Thankfully, only one soldier was mildly injured, and the army is investigating what went wrong.

Last night (Tuesday), in dramatic footage captured by a camera mounted on another tank in the convoy, a Merkava Mark 4 tank was seen veering off course after a turn, sliding and flipping 180 degrees near the Lebanese border. The incident occurred as the tank was returning to Israeli territory.
One soldier sustained very minor injuries in the incident, which is now under IDF investigation.
The unusual accident took place as the tank was navigating the slopes near the Shiite village of Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon. According to the driver's initial debriefing, after making a turn, he felt he couldn't properly align the tank's tracks with the route. Moments later, the tank deviated from its path, slid, and completely overturned – ending up with its tracks pointing skyward and turret facing down.
The injured soldier was evacuated for hospital treatment, and the tank was successfully recovered and returned to Israeli territory during the night operations.
