The Hostages' Families Headquarters responded to the dismissal of the Defense Minister. In the statement issued by the headquarters, it was written: "A regrettable proof of the flawed priorities of the Israeli government."

In a statement issued by the headquarters, it was written: "The dismissal of Defense Minister Gallant is a direct continuation of the 'efforts' to thwart the hostage deal." They demand that the incoming Minister of Defense make a clear commitment to end the war and implement a comprehensive deal to return all the hostages immediately. The dismissal of the Minister of Defense is a regrettable proof of the flawed priorities of the Israeli government.

According to them: "The military objectives in the Gaza Strip have been achieved: the elimination of Hamas leadership, the destruction of the organization's military infrastructure, the blockade of the Philadelphi route, and the annihilation of the vast majority of the terrorists. Now Israel must lead a comprehensive deal for the release of all hostages and the cessation of the war."

The Minister of Defense was the first to indicate the achievement of strategic goals and the urgent need to translate military accomplishments into a tangible victory in the form of the return of the captives and the end of the war in the Strip. The Families Headquarters for the Return of the Hostages regrets that instead of translating the achievements into a decisive action to return all the hostages, the government prefers to once again jeopardize the chances of a deal.

In conclusion, they wrote: "The staff demands that the incoming Minister of Defense publicly, clearly, and decisively express his commitment to the immediate release of all hostages, the rehabilitation of the living, the burial of the murdered and the fallen, and the establishment of a military victory in the Strip into a true victory that meets the war's objectives. There will be no victory and no revival for the State of Israel without the return of all the hostages and the end of the war. It is unacceptable that political, party, and personal interests continue to take center stage instead of the true national interest in the immediate return of all the hostages."

In the Hope Forum, they also responded to the dismissals: "The dismissal of Minister Gallant and the appointment of Israel Katz open up an opportunity for a strategic change regarding the return of the captives. It's time to push hard for Netanyahu's proposal to the captors to release the hostages in exchange for a large sum of money. We trust Minister Katz to further increase and intensify the military pressure on what remains of Hamas in Gaza. All means are valid to bring our children back. We thank Minister Gallant for his efforts for the security of Israel and for the attempts to bring back our loved ones."
