Despite the elections currently taking place at the polling stations in the U.S., the news of Defense Minister Gallant's dismissal is stirring the world.

Even now, as the United States heads to vote in one of the closest elections the global superpower has ever known, the firing of Defense Minister Yoav Galant is creating an international storm and making headlines in all the newspapers.

Media networks from all over the globe are now covering the dismissal of the Defense Minister. The American network CNN has brought Galant's dismissal to the main headlines despite the election campaign, stating: "Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu fires Defense Minister Yoav Galant due to a lack of trust between the parties."

Sky News Australia describes the situation: "The Israeli Prime Minister is throwing the Defense Minister under the bus." The British BBC described the move as: "A crisis of trust, Prime Minister Netanyahu fires Defense Minister Gallant."

In the Associated Press (AP), Yoav Galant was described as: "Israel's popular defense minister fired by Prime Minister Netanyahu."
