Because "We don't want any problems"

Security at Toronto club removes DJ Skazi's Israeli flag

How many times have we heard that phrase being used an excuse to justify pretty much anything, "We don't want any problems"?

Popular Israeli DJ Asher Swissa, AKA "Skazi," faced an unexpected situation during his performance at a Toronto club last night when security abruptly removed an Israeli flag he had displayed.

The incident was caught on video and shared on social media. It shows Skazi first wearing the Israeli flag and then proudly hanging it at his DJ booth at the Israeli-owned venue. BUT – within seconds, a security guard approached him and forcefully removed the flag.

A visibly shocked Skazi tried to understand the reason but the removal but was forced to accept the flag's removal and continued his performance. While most clubgoers were Jewish and Israeli, the venue also hosted international guests.

Despite the embarrassing incident, it appears the action wasn't motivated by antisemitism. Skazi later posted a video saying, "Canada, thank you for an amazing night yesterday. Grand Bizarre, always crazy there. Thanks for the good vibes, energy and fun."

The club's owner later clarified that the flag's removal wasn't an anti-Israeli gesture but rather aligned with club policy, stating "We don't want any problems for anyone here."
