Yesterday (Sunday) senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan addressed various issues regarding the Israel-Hamas war.

He commented on the negotiations surrounding the Egyptian hostage deal, saying: "The dialogue between Palestinian factions in Cairo is positive and we don't want to prejudge the results."

He also addressed reports that Israel is preparing for a prolonged stay in the Gaza Strip, saying: "The occupation's declarations about preparing to stay in the Gaza Strip are part of [their] psychological warfare. Our people remain steadfast ... despite the occupation's crimes, especially in northern Gaza."
