Hours after the evacuation order and the IDF's unusual strike deep in Lebanon, the IDF confirmed now (Wednesday) that Air Force fighter jets, guided by the Intelligence Directorate and Northern Command, attacked several command and control complexes and additional Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in the Baalbek area in the heart of Lebanon, and in the Nabatieh area in southern Lebanon.
According to an IDF spokesperson's statement, "The terrorist organization Hezbollah is systematically taking over civilian areas throughout the State of Lebanon in order to carry out terrorist operations and plots, embedding its operatives and commanders within the civilian space." This activity harms and endangers the citizens of the State of Lebanon.
It was also noted that "before the attacks, many measures were taken to reduce the possibility of harming civilians, including numerous warnings on various platforms for the population in the area." These attacks are another part of the IDF's effort to disrupt the military activities of the terrorist organization Hezbollah and make it difficult for the organization to restore its military capabilities.
