After earlier many alarms were activated in the Galilee as a result of the infiltration of a number of hostile aircraft that were intercepted by the Air Force, and after a UAV from Iraq hit a security plant in the north during the night, air raid sirens are being activated again - in settlements throughout the North, starting from the Western Galilee to Haifa and the Krayot region and extending all the way to Yokneam and Jezereel Valley.
According to the Home Front Command, alarms and warnings were activated in at least 60 different settlements as a result of the intrusion of drones. There are reports of a number of aircraft that penetrated Israeli air defenses.
According to the IDF and the Air Force Command, at least five hostile aircraft have been identified that are now moving in Israel's airspace over a series of settlements in the north of the country, an IDF spokesman said that the aircraft are "under surveillance".
Update from the IDF spokesman: "Following the warnings of hostile aircraft infiltration that were activated a short time ago, the Air Force successfully intercepted a hostile aircraft, and reports were received of the downing of two additional targets.
During the event, several interception attempts were made by the Air Force; rocket and missile warnings were activated due to the possibility of falling shrapnel.
The event is still ongoing, the public is asked to continue to obey the directives of the Home Front Command."
MDA also provided this update: "Following the recent alarms, we have not received any no calls about casualties except for 2 cases of people who were slightly injured on their way to the protected area in the Hadera area."
