Former President and current Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has sent a letter to the Lebanese American community, six days out from election day, according to Naharnet.

The letter states that under Trump there was peace in the Middle East and if elected "I will fix the problems caused by Kamala Harris and Joe Biden and stop the suffering and destruction in Lebanon."

Trump then directly appealed to the Lebanese Americans personally, saying that "You have my word. I will preserve the equal partnership among all Lebanese communities. Your friends and family in Lebanon deserve to live in peace, prosperity, and harmony with their neighbors, and that can only happen with peace and stability in the Middle East."

Trump has consistently tried to take both a very pro-Israel line while also courting Muslim and Middle Eastern voters, and this letter is part of that effort. With polls and partisan registration both showing a very tight race, Trump is working to win every possible vote.

According to World Population Review, some 68,000 Lebanese Americans reside in the important swing state of Michigan, in a state decided by about 120,000 votes in 2020.
