Maj. Guy Yaacov Nezri, 25, from Atlit, who served as a company commander in the 52nd Battalion of the 401st Armoured brigade, passed away today from his injuries after being seriously wounded during the fighting in the Gaza Strip about a week and a half ago.

Blessed be the True Judge: After a long struggle for his life, Guy Nazri passed away today (Monday) from his wounds after being seriously injured in a battle in the Gaza Strip about a week and a half ago.

He was critically injured on October 19 when in the same incident in Jabaliya two other soldiers were killed, Sgt. Ofir Berkovich and Sgt Elishai Young.

Guy served as a company commander in the 52nd Battalion, and in recent days, doctors at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem have been fighting for his life.

Today, his family announced that his condition has worsened and that they are asking for increased prayers for his recovery but his death was tragically announced soon after.

His heart-breaking death brings the death toll of Israeli soldiers in the ongoing Gaza conflict to 363.
