On Monday of this week, to honour IDF soldiers injured in the "Swords of Iron" War, LTG Herzi Halevi, the Chief of the General Staff, paid a visit to the Soroka Medical Centre in Be'er Sheva.
While visiting, the Chief of the General Staff talked to the injured, their loved ones, and the medical staff, thanking them for their dedication and hard work in the conflict. Furthermore, Professor Shlomi Kodesh, Director of Soroka Medical Centre, was also presented with a certificate of appreciation by the Chief of the General Staff.
Chief of Staff Halevi said that the journey to recovery is just as difficult as fighting in the battlefield. When your fellow soldiers are in battle and aware of your advancements, it boosts their morale. The unity and bond among the medical staff, air squadrons, and soldiers on the battlefield – that is our source of power. I receive feedback from injured individuals and their loved ones about the remarkable help you provide, medical teams.
Halevi stated that saving lives can be attributed to every aspect of the treatment chain, starting from the first medic in the field to the continuous support in rehabilitation.
