A new CBS poll of registered voters, conducted in October 23-25 and released today (Sunday) shows the race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in a dead heat, with battleground states neck-and-neck at 50-50, and with Harris having a narrow edge nationally at 50-49.
This poll shows a decline in support for Harris in the key states of the Upper Midwest such as Michigan and Pennsylvania and in Georgia and Arizona, from being three points ahead in September, to one point two weeks ago, to dead even today.
The poll also shows a very large gap between men and women in terms of who they support for President: Women support Harris 55-43, while men support Trump 54-45.
When it comes to gender issues, 78% of men think the US has gone too far or is doing "about right" when promoting gender equality, while 70% of women think the US is doing "about right" or not going far enough.
