Will Iran respond?

Iran threatens: "Israel should expect a harsh response"

Even though Iran had to threaten a counter strike to save face, it seems likely that they will not attack Israel, in part because of pressure from the Biden Administration.

Almost a month has passed since the Iranian attack on Israel, which included hundreds of ballistic missiles aimed at military and civilian targets.

The IDF spokesman announced this morning (Saturday) that the IDF completed a targeted and precise attack against military targets in several areas in Iran. All Israeli planes returned safely to their bases. The attack was carried out in response to Iran's aggression against the State of Israel and its citizens during the last few months. The response attack is complete and its objectives have been achieved.

In response to the attack, Sky News (in Arabic) reported that Iran is not expected to respond to the attack. On the other hand, the Iranian foreign minister responded in an official statement and said: "Israel must expect a harsh response."

As reported by the Times of Israel, Iran's foreign ministry said, “[We have] the right and the duty to defend itself against foreign acts of aggression.”

This is how the Israeli attack was carried out: Israeli planes and aircraft attacked missile production facilities that Iran used twice this year, when it attacked Israel. At the same time, Iran's surface-to-air missile arrays and other aerial capabilities were attacked, which were intended to limit Israel's freedom of action to operate in Iran's skies.

The IDF has clarified that there are no changes in the directives of the Home Front Command.
