Operation Northern Shield: During the holiday, 3 people were injured by gunfire in the Western Galilee, two in serious condition and one in light condition.
This morning (Thursday) at 09:53, a barrage of about 50 rockets was fired towards Nahariya and the Western Galilee. In a statement from the IDF spokesperson, it was written that "in the Upper Galilee and Western Galilee areas, approximately 50 launches were identified crossing from Lebanese territory." Some were intercepted, and falls were identified.
MDA evacuated three injured individuals to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya – two men, approximately 40 and 23 years old, in moderate condition with shrapnel injuries, and another injured person in light condition. Senior MDA medic Samir Awad recounted: "I saw in the center of the intersection a vehicle with many holes from shrapnel, and near the vehicle lay three passengers."
About two hours later, around 30 rockets were fired towards Safed and the surrounding area. No damage was caused and there were no injuries. In an additional barrage towards Karmiel and the surrounding area in the afternoon, a man around 84 years old was lightly injured by shrapnel.
In the afternoon, an IDF spokesperson announced that the IDF attacked a terrorist from Hezbollah's aerial unit who launched an unmanned aerial vehicle towards Israeli territory. The vehicle that was launched was attacked along with the terrorist.
Additionally, the IDF announced that Air Force fighter jets, in coordination with the Northern Command, attacked dozens of Hezbollah terror targets in Lebanese territory throughout the day. Among the targets that were attacked: launchers from which launches were carried out into the country's territory this morning, weapons storage facilities, and military structures of the organization.
