The IDF announced on Tuesday evening that it successfully intercepted a drone from Lebanon that had entered Israeli airspace. The military reported that while the drone was brought down, its remains have not yet been located and it likely fell in an open area.
An hour passed from the initial intrusion alert to the confirmation of the interception. The IDF first confirmed the drone's entry into Israeli airspace about 20 minutes after sirens blared across northern Israel.
"We are actively tracking and intercepting the target," the IDF said. "The public is urged to follow Home Front Command guidelines. More details will be shared soon."
The drone sirens began in northern communities like Rosh Hanikra, with alarms progressively sounding in localities further south.
