Captured Hezbollah terrorists said that they bribed UNIFIL personnel to be able to use UNIFIL positions and security cameras to spy on Israel, according to security sources speaking to Israel Hayom.

Israel has repeatedly requested that UNIFIL forces evacuate the combat zone for their own safety, including multiple personal pleas from the Prime Minister, but all these requests have so far been refused.

Israel now suspects that part of the reason for this refusal is the desire to coverup the extent to which UNIFIL allowed Hezbollah to operate in southern Lebanon and build up its forces against Israel, entirely contrary to its stated mandate.
