Killed by a rocket hit in Acre: Alexey Popov from Kiryat Haim

Alexander Popov was killed when he was hit by shrapnel from a rocket at the Na'aman junction near Acre.

Alexander Popov, 51 years old from Kiryat Haim, was driving his car earlier today (Shabbat) in Acre when he was hit by rocket shrapnel in his upper body and critically injured.

Another passenger managed to escape from the vehicle before the impact and was moderately injured.

MDA paramedics on scene pronounced him dead. Police officers from the Zevulun station arrived at his home and informed his wife of his death.

Since this morning, about 115 rockets have been fired from Lebanon towards the north.
