In accordance with the IDF's assessment of the situation, it was decided to recruit an additional reserve brigade for operational missions in the northern sector.

"The recruitment will enable the continuation of the fighting effort against Hezbollah and the achievement of the goals of the war, including the safe return of the residents of the north to their homes," the IDF Spokesperson's Office said.

There are currently four divisions in Lebanese territory that are maneuvering to thwart terrorism. Together, they continue to clean house after house and search for tunnels and other terrorist infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah. Hundreds of terrorists have been eliminated since the beginning of the maneuver.

According to the IDF, the terrorist directed many terror attacks against the State of Israel and IDF forces on the ground – he was killed in the attack. In addition, forces of the 7th Brigade located and acted to destroy loaded and ready to launch launchers at dozens of towns and cities in northern Israel.
