Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is set to hold a special consultation in the Kiryah with senior military commanders and top ministers today (Friday) following the successful elimination of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, with the aim of achieving "significant progress" in freeing the hostages, according to Army Radio.

In a video statement he released yesterday, Prime Minister Netanyahu said that "Israel will guarantee the safety of all those who return our hostages" and that those who harm them would be hunted down by Israel.

He also told the people of the region that "The reign of terror that the Iranian regime has imposed on its own people and on the peoples of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen – this too will come to an end. All those who seek a future of prosperity and peace in the Middle East should unite to build a better future."
