Defense Ministry Director-General, Maj.-Gen. (res.) Eyal Zamir said that "the response to the drone threat is a national mission of the highest priority. The Defense Ministry has invested hundreds of millions of NIS in development, massive acquisition, and deployment of capabilities so far."

He added that "under the directive of the Defense Minister, we defined a 'green track' for connecting with and ensuring the rapid operational deployment for anyone who brings an effective solution - large industries and startups alike."

He ended by saying that "our goal is to complete the development and deployment of new interception systems within the shortest timeframe, which together with existing layers of defense - the laser system and other means we are developing and producing, will bring a broader solution."
