Lebanese PM: US gave guarantees to reduce bombing in Beirut and Dahiyeh

Following reports that the IDF has halted bombings in Beirut and the Dahiyeh at President Biden's request, the Lebanese Prime Minister affirmed that the US has guaranteed a reduction of "escalation" in the area.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nagib Mikati has reportedly told al-Jazeera that the United States has given Lebanon "guarantees" that "escalation" will be reduced in terms of IDF bombings of Beirut and the Dahiyeh.

Kann News reported earlier that President Biden had asked Prime Minister Netanyahu to end the targeted bombings of senior Hezbollah leaders and weapons warehouses and manufacturing sites in Beirut and the Dahiyeh.

Netanyahu himself has vehemently denied these claims multiple times, arguing that the IDF will strike Hezbollah anywhere and everywhere throughout Lebanon, including in Beirut - based solely on "operational considerations."
