Israel-Hezbollah War

Netanyahu: We will continue to strike Hezbollah - even in Beirut

While visiting the IDF base struck by a Hezbollah drone yesterday, the Prime Minister reasserted his determination to continue the war in full force.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu visited the base where the deadly Hezbollah drone struck today (Monday) and visited the wounded in the hospitals, encouraging the troops and calling them "the victory generation."

He also gave a video statement where he said that "we will continue to strike Hezbollah mercilessly - including in Beirut." Contradicting previous reports that he had agreed to order a bombing halt in Beirut at President Biden's request, the Prime Minister said that bombing would be carried out solely based on "operational considerations."

Netanyahu said "we proved this recently, and we will continue to prove it in the coming days."
