Half a day after the UAV disaster in the dining room at the Golani military base in which four soldiers lost their lives, a disturbing video from seven years ago was revealed on the Internet in which the IDF shows the different areas of the base for the recruits.
The video was published on Meitav (the IDF's public recruitment website), and povides the exact location of the IDF base, pictures of the facilities and a video tour. The same site has two other northern training bases as well with the same information.
Earlier, Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant toured the site of the disaster, and he said, "This is a difficult incident with painful consequences. We must investigate it, study its details and learn lessons from what happened, quickly and professionally."
Gallant also said that "We are engaged in developing solutions that will help deal with the threat of UAVs. The Golani Brigade has proven more than once, even in the current war, that its commanders and fighters know how to get up from the most difficult events and continue to fight, I'm sure we'll see it this time too."
The Israel realtime Whatsapp Group contributed to this article.
