Arab media reported on Monday that eighteen people were killed as a result of an IDF attack in northern Lebanon – the first time the IDF has struck so far north since the beginning of the war. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) attacked from the air in the village of Ayto, north of the Lebanese capital Beirut.

According to the report, eight were killed as a result of the attack, all of them residents of southern Lebanon who fled north. The attack targeted the Zagrate-Ahden road in the Ito province in northern Lebanon. The village has about 700 inhabitants and is about 700 km from Beirut.

Earlier today, the IDF announced that Hezbollah's commander of the Radwan's anti-tank system had been eliminated. The attack came shortly after the IDF spokesman in Arabic, Colonel Edrei, appealed to residents of 25 villages in southern Lebanon with an urgent warning to evacuate: "Anyone found near Hezbollah operatives is endangering his life."
