The IDF announced on Monday morning that it intercepted five rockets that had been fired from Lebanon into Israeli territory, following the activation of air raid sirens across central Israel, including in Netanya, Wadi Ara, Harish, Even Yehuda, Kadima-Zoran, and various other towns in the Sharon region. Earlier, sirens were also heard twice in Haifa.
The IDF confirmed that one rocket from Lebanon exploded in an unpopulated area during the first wave of attacks. During the second attack, alarms were heard in Kiryat Yam, Nesher, and additional towns in the Haifa Bay area. In total, around 10 rockets were fired from Lebanon, most of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome, with one rocket landing in an open field.
Overnight, Hezbollah issued a stark warning, threatening that Israel's continued "stubbornness" would result in cities like Haifa becoming major targets for its rockets and drones, similar to Kiryat Shmona, a border town heavily shelled by Hezbollah. The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, known for its pro-Hezbollah stance, ran a front-page headline reflecting this warning: "Haifa like Kiryat Shmona."
