The Saudi outlet al-Hadath reported today (Sunday) that the IDF has halted its targeted bombings in Beirut, according to its sources. The halt is reportedly due to the phone call last Wednesday between Prime Minister Netanyahu and US President Biden.
Kann reporter Roy Sharon confirmed that the IDF ceased bombing targets in Beirut on the order of the government.
This is the IDF's response to the report, according to Israel Hayom: "The IDF is fighting to achieve the goals of the war, according to an organized plan and in accordance with the instructions of the political echelon. We will not address the dialogue between the IDF and the political echelon."
As of this writing, the Prime Minister and Defense Minister, who are charged by the government with running the war, have not addressed the report.
