Earlier today (Sunday) Hezbollah said that it had launched missiles (including Burkan missiles) towards an IDF unit near Zarit and that the missile scored a direct hit.
A Burkan missile is a heavy-duty short-range rocket made by Hezbollah and launched from trucks. According to the Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar, the rocket's warhead weighs 100 kg, and is capable of causing widespread destruction.
Dr. Zvi Sheleg, the Deputy Director of the Galilee Medical Center reported that the hospital activated its major incident protocol in response to the event, with medical teams mobilizing to handle the influx of patients.
He also said that of those currently hospitalized at the Galilee Medical Center, four of them are defined as being in moderate condition and the rest in mild condition (most suffering from shrapnel injuries).
The families of those injured have been notified of the situation.
