Report: UNRWA Jerusalem headquarters to be converted into housing units
As the Knesset and the Israeli government continues to move to end UNRWA activity due to ties to Hamas, the first step of removing its presence in Israel has now been taken. A law banning UNRWA on Israeli territory is set for a final vote in the Knesset.

The Israel Land Authority announced today (Thursday) that it was expropriating UNRWA headquarters in Jerusalem to build over a thousand housing units, according to Israel Hayom.
Israel's relations with UNRWA have steadily deteriorated since October 7, with the discovery of UNRWA employees participating in the massacre as well as thousands of employees with clear ties to Hamas and other such organizations.
The IDF discovered multiple cases of UNRWA buildings being used for terrorist purposes as well as UNRWA equipment being used to build terror tunnels and other such infrastructure.
Israel has since been working to outlaw UNRWA within Israeli territory, and a law to that effect is now ready for a final vote in the Knesset.
Israel Foreign Minister Israel Katz has also been working to get foreign countries who donate to UNRWA to cut off funding due to terror ties, an effort which has met with mixed success.
