Petah Tikva police received a report this morning about two suspicious Arabic youths situated in a public park. A police motorcyclist quickly arrived at the scene and after searching he located the suspects.

One suspect, from Judea and Samaria was arrested on the spot and the other suspect fled, jumping over a fence into the grounds of a nearby school. The policeman called out to the school security guard and an arrest was made while the students were in their classrooms.

At the same time, a police sapper was summoned to the scene and a search revealed pepper gas, a penknife, gloves and means used to steal vehicles. No casualties were reported.

Over the past two days, the Israel Police has arrested about 30 illegal aliens originating from various locations in Judea and Samria. At the Kursi junction near the Sea of Galilee, a minibus transporting Palestinians to Israel illegally was seized, and yesterday Border Policemen arrested 8 illegal aliens in a shuttle vehicle in the Hof HaCarmel Regional Council.
