The 98th Division, including combat teams of the Paratroop Brigade, the Commando Division, the armored 7th Brigade, and Yahalom fighters have been operating within Lebanon across the border against Hezbollah the last few days.

So far, the forces have discovered hundreds of weapons caches, destroyed multiple tunnels and infrastructures, and eliminated hundreds of terrorists.

The IDF has released footage of some of the weapons caches found in private houses (Source: IDF Spokesperson):

The IDF has been operating on the ground in Lebanon for a week now, and the strategic picture is becoming increasingly clearer, according to Nir Dvori of Channel 12 News.

According to Dvori, the IDF is thus far successfully using four methods to weaken Hezbollah.

The first is the so far limited ground incursion, which has met significantly less resistance than expected. "All the villages are almost entirely empty," along the border according to an IDF source, and most terrorists have either fled to outposts or refused to cross the Litani into the battle zone.

The second is the IDF's efforts to destroy Hezbollah weaponry, especially rocket launchers and missiles - either before or after an attack on Israel, in southern Lebanon, the Bekaa, and in the Dahiyeh suburb or Beirut.

The third tactic is the constant decapitation of Hezbollah leadership through assassinations and attacks, which seriously weakens the terrorist group's ability to engage in effective command and control.

The fourth is the IDF's efforts to prevent resupply of Hezbollah via Syria through bombing attacks of weapons convoys, according to foreign sources.
