The IDF Spokesperson announced Tuesday morning that under the precise guidance of the Intelligence Directorate, IAF fighter jets attacked the Beirut area yesterday and killed Suheil Hussein Husseini, Hezbollah's Chief of Staff.

The Headquarters Division is Hezbollah's logistical headquarters and it deals with everything related to the budget and organization of terrorist group. Hosseini was a partner in arms transfer agreements between Iran and Hezbollah and is responsible for distributing the smuggled weapons between Hezbollah's various units, in terms of transportation and in allocating resources. He was also a member of the Jihad Council, Hezbollah's senior military forum.

Within the headquarters there is also Hezbollah's research and development unit, a unit engaged in the manufacture of precision missiles, and in the logistics of storing and transporting weapons within Lebanon.

As part of his position, Hosseini was involved in budgeting and logistical management of the organization's most sensitive projects, including the operational plan for war and other special programs, including carrying out terrorist attacks against the State of Israel from Lebanese and Syrian territory.
