Fighting in southern Lebanon: the ambush and the explosive charges that awaited the troops
The fighters of the 188th Brigade Combat Team under the command of the 36th Division located and destroyed warehouses with weapons, underground infrastructure and eliminated anti-tank squads of the Radwan Force in southern Lebanon.

In the last few days, the forces located and destroyed a Hezbollah combat headquarters from where many firing plans were planned and executed towards the northern settlements near the fence during the past months. In addition, warehouses with weapons were found in the area of the compound.
In one of the raids, the forces located an ambush that was placed for our forces and contained weapons in a vehicle belonging to terrorists of the Hezbollah terrorist organization. In addition, with intelligence guidance, a pit filled with explosives was located and destroyed, which was placed in order to harm IDF forces in the area.
From the words of the commander of the 188th brigade, Lt. Col. Or Volozinski: "In recent days, we have been focused on dismantling surface and underground infrastructure, and we will continue to do so as long as necessary, until we ensure the return of the residents to the north in complete safety."
He also said: "Entering the field was exciting. Our fighters have been waiting a long time for this moment - to fight and damage Hezbollah in a significant way. The 188th Brigade is in the midst of a prolonged battle. Our commanders and fighters are full of motivation, with a lot of operational experience, and are determined to lead the mission to its full completion." .
