The terrorist was shot dead after opened fire inside a McDonald’s located in the station.

In November 2023, Suslik shared on Instagram about celebrating her 19th birthday amidst conflict, expressing how meaningful it was to serve in uniform, especially after witnessing peers her age lose their lives in service to their country.

The Israel Police confirmed that Suslik is survived by her parents and three siblings. Tarin Yaakobov, manager of the McDonald’s, recounted the chaos, stating, “We heard gunshots and saw the terrorist firing wildly. He shattered all the glass. We hid in the freezer and secured the door until we could safely come out 15 minutes later.”

Boris Mento, a paramedic with MDA, described the scene as chaotic, with some injured fleeing into nearby stores. First responders treated victims on-site to control bleeding before transporting them to a local hospital.

The assailant, identified as 29-year-old Ahmad al-Uqbi, an Israeli citizen from the Bedouin village of Uqbi near Hura, was reportedly shot dead at the scene by IDF soldiers. Al-Uqbi is believed to have a prior criminal history.

According to Kan public broadcaster, al-Uqbi is related to Muhanad al-Uqbi, who carried out a deadly shooting in the Beersheba bus station in 2015.
