A short time ago today (Sunday), one rocket was fired from Gaza towards the area of Ashkelon. The IDF says that it successfully intercepted the rocket.

The city of Ashkelon reports no landings or damage from the rockets or interceptor fragments, and Magen David Adom says no casualties have been reported from the attack.

The IDF has been bracing itself for possible increased attacks against IDF forces in the Gaza Strip or rocket attacks and raids into Israeli territory around the anniversary of October 7.

The IDF has been reinforcing civilian and military area to fend off these attacks, and has reportedly launched an offensive in the Jabaliya area of the northern Gaza Strip in order to foil these attacks, according to Kann News reporter Elior Levi.
