US Embassy to workers: Shelter in place until further notice

The warning comes just as there are increasing indications of a large scale Iranian missile attack in the next 12 hours.

Less than an hour ago today (Tuesday), the US Embassy in Israel issued a warning to US government employees in Israel to "shelter in place until further notice."

The warning comes as both Israel and the US report increasing indications that Iran intends to launch a large scale missile and projectile attack against Israel, possibly as large as the attack it launched in April.

The warning also said that "in response to security incidents and without advance notice, the U.S. Embassy may further restrict or prohibit U.S. government employees and their family members from traveling to certain areas of Israel (including the Old City of Jerusalem) and the West Bank."

Israel Army Radio (Galatz) reports that the US Army Central Command announces that 3 squadrons of fighter jets have been dispatched to the Middle East.

Israel is thus preparing for direct fire from Iran, and the United States has announced that it will improve its defensive response in order to assist Israel in intercepting the missiles.
