A senior US official confirmed on Tuesday that there are indications that Iran is preparing to launch a ballistic missile attack against Israel soon. "We actively support defensive preparations to defend Israel against this attack. A direct military attack from Iran against Israel will have severe consequences for Iran," the official said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared, "We are in the midst of a campaign against Iran's axis of evil. I said yesterday that these are days of great achievements and great challenges. Great achievements because we thwarted Nasrallah and his top command and Hezbollah's plan to conquer the Galilee. But on the other hand, there are also great challenges."

Israel Army Radio (Galatz) reports that the US Army Central Command announces that 3 squadrons of fighter jets have been dispatched to the Middle East.

Israel is thus preparing for direct fire from Iran, and the United States has announced that it will improve its defensive response in order to assist Israel in intercepting the missiles.

This explains the Home Front Command's decisions after assessing the situation regarding a change in defense guidelines throughout the country. The main changes include new restrictions in broad areas, including the Carmel, Wadi Ara, Menashe, Samaria, Sharon, Dan, Yarkon, the Shefela, Jerusalem and the Judean Plain.
