Here's what the IDF wants you to know about the increasing tensions with Hezbollah:
Since October 8th, when Hezbollah joined Hamas's war against Israel, 60,000 Israeli people have evacuated their homes. Hezbollah has indiscriminately fired over 9,000 rockets at Israeli homes, causing death and destruction, including an attack that killed 12 children playing soccer.
But let's go farther back:
For the past two decades, Hezbollah has built its terror network within Lebanese population centers, primarily throughout Southern Lebanon, transforming the area into a launchpad for attacks against Israel. Israeli intelligence estimates that in every two to three homes in southern Lebanon, there's a Hezbollah terror asset hidden inside.
After nearly a year of restraint and attempts at diplomatic solutions, Israel is sends a clear message: enough is enough. Israel will do everything in its power to ensure its civilians can return safely to their homes and to prevent another October 7th-style attack on any of its borders.
