This statement completely contradicts what he said yesterday– that his yesterday's assertion that his "red line" was pushing Hezbollah beyond the Litani River and that "negotiations will only be under fire, we continue to hit Hezbollah with all our might."

Critics argue this move demonstrates Netanyahu's inability to withstand international pressure. They view it as a missed opportunity to significantly weaken Hezbollah at a time when the organization is vulnerable.
