Netanyahu denies: "There is no negotiation, to kick Hezbollah beyond the Litani"
Against the background of the publications that Netanyahu gave the green light to a temporary ceasefire agreement in the north, this evening (Wednesday) sources close to Netanyahu say that "there are no negotiations taking place at the moment, Netanyahu's red line is to kick Hezbollah beyond the Litani".

After the reports of negotiations for a cease-fire in the north and the green light given by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a source said this evening that "Netanyahu and Dermer's red line is to kick Hezbollah beyond the litany. Right now there are no negotiations."
The military reporter Yossi Yehoshua criticized the position and wrote: "Netanyahu's position is to keep Hezbollah away from the north of Litani. Great. And what will happen when Radwan's force returns its citizens to the villages where he lives? And what do we do with the offensive infrastructure he left in the Shiite villages that are on the fence? Just don't say "they will Technological means." Earlier it was announced that the Biden administration is working on a new diplomatic initiative for a four-week ceasefire in the fighting in Lebanon and the renewal of negotiations on a hostage agreement and a cease-fire in Gaza.
According to the report, the White House initiative may be published as early as today (Wednesday) in an attempt to stop the escalation between Israel and Hezbollah. An Israeli source involved in the initiative claims that Netanyahu gave the green light to the new initiative.
In recent days, there has been political activity by the Americans with Netanyahu and the Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, the goal of which is to reach a settlement or a temporary ceasefire that will allow contacts. The Americans cannot speak directly with Hezbollah, therefore contacts are indirect with the Lebanese government and other parties, including the French and other Europeans. In the discourse there is also the involvement of the Iranians, who do not want to reach an all-out war.
