About a month ago, singer Hanan Ben Ari surprised many when he announced in an Instagram story that he and his wife Hadassah are divorcing after 16 years together, during which they had seven children. Ben Ari, who has proven to be very open with his followers and fans, addressed his family from the stage a few days after the announcement and took the opportunity to thank his now ex-wife. Last night, at a performance held at the Raanana Park Amphitheater for reservist soldiers, the singer shared that he has left the house in Pardes Hanna.

Ben Ari, who will now enjoy quite a bit of quiet minus seven children (according to visitation arrangements), told the audience that he moved to a new apartment a week ago, and has even started doing basic chores on his own, even cutting himself while preparing a salad. The singer also added words of thanks to his musicians for accompanying him both on stage and in his personal life.

As a reminder, just over a month ago, Ben Ari wrote: "We are separating. With a broken and aching heart, but with a clear inner knowledge that we tried and fought, and struggled until the end. There are moments when there's no choice but to look reality in the eye and honestly admit that we've separated. We married at 20 and brought seven wonderful children into the world together. We thank God for every moment in our shared journey and trust that He is writing the most precise script for us. We continue to live in proximity, in friendship and partnership - not just for the children, but also for us. This is our special way. We went through a long and heartbreaking period of attempts, and today we are releasing and blessing each other in acceptance, wishing each other all the good in the world."
