A Lebanese military source speaking to Sky News Arabic has confirmed that Ali Karaki, commander of Hezbollah's southern front and a rising star in Hezbollah following a series of IDF assassinations, was eliminated today (Monday) in an air strike in Beirut.
This is the first time today that the IDF has struck Beirut proper, with most of its attacks taking place in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region, with the aim of taking out rocket and missile arsenals.
The IDF struck some 800 Hezbollah targets today (Monday) throughout southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region, in what is the most intense, concentrated aerial bombardment of the war so far.
The strikes were carried out in a number of waves and based on precise intelligence, targeting structures where Hezbollah hid rockets, missiles, launchers, drones, and other military infrastructure.
