UPROAR IN ISRAEL: Terrorist who murdered Matan Elmaliah still hospitalized in Hadassah Ein Kerem

Israelis are furious that this vegetative terrorist, who murdered an Israeli and injured 10 others in a shooting attack this past february, is still taking up a bed in a Jerusalem hopsital and using police resources.

Seven months ago, Palestinian terrorists began a deadly shooting spree on a highway from Maaleh Adumim (in the West Bank) during rush hour morning traffic. During the attack, Matan Elmaliah, 26-years-old, was killed and 10 other commuters were wounded.

The terrorist responsible for the murder of Matan's murder has been occupying a bed at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem for seven months, according to a report by Channel 13 News on Thursday evening.

The terrorist is in a vegetative state and has not been released despite the Israel Police's request and subsequent court approval. However, the court set a condition for his release: the terrorist's family must pay about 20,000 shekels. His family were unwilling to pay.

In response, Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital said: "Any specific treatment of security detainees is determined solely by the state authorities, the security forces and the Ministry of Health, and therefore questions should be directed to them."

The Israel Police said: "The military court ruled that due to the terrorist's medical condition, he can be released from detention under restrictive conditions, which include a financial deposit. Since his family did not meet the stipulated conditions, the terrorist remains in the hospital under the status of a detainee - and accordingly, the police continue to guard him."

This situation has raised concerns about resource allocation in the healthcare system and the handling of security detainees with severe medical conditions.
