Report: At least 3 killed, dozens wounded in walkie talkie Armageddon | BONUS: Blown up motorcycle video

According to reports, the walkie talkies were acquired around the same time as the pagers which exploded en masse yesterday.

Preliminary reports of casualties from the mass explosion of walkie talkies in Lebanon put the number so far at three dead and dozens wounded at least, according to al-Arabiya News.

Explosions have been reported in cars, motorcycles, and even at funerals, and the intensity of the blasts is reported to be greater than that of the exploding pagers yesterday.

Security sources speaking to Reuters said that the walkie talkies which exploded today were acquired around the same time as the pagers, all part of an effort to reduce reliance on cellphones, whose location finding technology was enabling the IDF to find and locate terrorists at will.

According to Axios, both the pagers and the walkie talkies were meant to be part of an emergency system for the terrorist group in the event of a wider war with Israel.
