For the first time since the beginning of the war, reports from Lebanon indicate that leaflets were dropped from the air over the village of Al-Wazzani – a village in the south of the country adjacent to the border in the Mount Dov sector, calling on residents to leave their homes and not return until the end of the war in the north.
The dropped leaflets stated: "Hezbollah is firing from your area. You must leave your homes immediately, evacuate north of the town of Al-Khiam by 4:00 PM, and not return until the end of the war. Anyone found in this area after this time will be considered a terrorist element."
Earlier this morning, residents of the north expressed anger over the complete disregard among decision-makers for their situation, following the extensive firing last Saturday towards Safed and northern settlements. "You probably don't know because it has stopped interesting you, but an hour after the barrage to the center, there was also a barrage to the northern settlements," said the "Fighting for the North" headquarters. "And why doesn't it interest anyone? Because there are people here who have gotten used to the fact that there is blood that is worth less and that there is an entire area that the State of Israel is giving up on."
According to them, "For almost a year we have been suffering almost daily from fear, from running to shelters when there is no time between the warning and the fall, and from long uncertainty. Imagine that every day there is a fall in the center – and go out to respond as necessary in the north as well to end the war with a long-term victory."
