As a result of the IDF being wary of the presence of terrorists, they waited outside the door for an entire day until they realized it was a hostage.

About two and a half weeks after the rescue of Farhan Al-Qadi, new details about the dramatic rescue moments are being published this evening.

According to a report on i24NEWS, the fighters reached an iron door behind which Fadi was located. At that stage, they did not yet know there was a hostage inside and thought it was a terrorist. Due to the concern for the presence of hostages and the risk of harming them, the fighters waited 24 hours behind the door until they received the relevant indicators and understood there were no terrorists present.
