In light of reports about Israel's willingness to allow Sinwar and other Hamas leaders to leave the country, Dr. Al-Shobaki reveals that the chances of such an exile are minimal. He discloses that the U.S. has supplied Israel with advanced equipment to locate Sinwar, indicating that Israel has decided to eliminate Sinwar in Gaza rather than allowing him to leave alive.
In an interview with the Saudi newspaper Al-Hadath, Al-Shobaki said: "Israel has recently received advanced equipment capable of detecting deeper tunnels." He added, "Israel benefits from significant technological support from the U.S. in its efforts, with the clear goal being that the assassination is intended to take place within the Gaza Strip, and not outside of it."
The Egyptian expert further noted that "Israel has already demonstrated a willingness to act against senior Hamas officials outside the Gaza Strip, as seen in the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Lebanon, even though he was not directly involved in the events of October 7."
