Prime Minister Netanyahu visited the Jordan Valley area today (Wednesday), where he conducted a situational assessment with the IDF Deputy Chief of Staff, Central Command Commander, and the Valley Brigade Commander.

At the end, he released a video statement explaining the importance of the Jordan Valley as a border, a "border of peace" which is witnessing "increasing challenges" due to efforts to smuggle terrorists and weaponry into Judea and Samaria and from there to Israeli cities.

Netanyahu suggested that Israel is now working to erect a stronger physical barrier to block such efforts, and that these efforts are being done "in cooperation with all of the parties," including the Jordanians.

Netanyahu did not provide any details about what such a barrier would look like compared to Israel's other border obstacles - whether fences in the north or south, or portions of fence and wall in the center.

Meanwhile, the IDF has been working hard to attack terror centers in Judea and Samaria which have received weaponry, money, and other resources from Iran to try and open another front in the war against Israel.
